CASE STUDY

James Ratchford, PLLC

Project type: website design
2020

Context / Challenges:

After a short consultation with James, he made it very clear that he really only had one desire for this new site – showcase highly active people who have suffered loss-of-limb. James is very into high-risk, high reward activities and wanted to share that love with prospective clients.

The other challenge was to craft a site that used the latest in design trend, but without veering into trendy along with keeping it simple and clean to ensure that end-users can easily locate buttons and links that they need to navigate through the site.

Project Scope:

  • Select a color palette that is both visually engaging and that followed ADA guidelines for readability and contrast
  • Craft engaging layouts and navigation throughout the site that encourages end-users to interact with buttons and links
  • Source images that showcase active individuals in natural settings performing athletic stunts to represent that life does not end just because of a traumatic event
