Untitled Number Two

Depth of night darkness tries to claim us
The heat of breath on skin
Fingers tangled in hair
Keeping me close, open in your presence
Nowhere to hide from your knowing gaze
Intimacy beyond a single piece of you inside me
Lips to throat, sigh forthcoming
Pull me closer, eye-to-eye
Into their stormy depths – I would be lost – but you’re my anchor
No words only touch
Press me into the push, an exhalation
Quiet sighs in time with the drag
Limbs entwined, sharing sweat
An explosion to an implosion, a quiet cry
I find solace in this exchange, it’s easy here
It’s the stillness in the afterglow I fear
The communion of emotion, unspoken
But you don’t let me go adrift, call me back like a lifeline from my own head
Wrapped as one, breath and heartbeats in time
Until the darkness claims us to slumber
